Maximiliano Acevedo Villalobos, saxophonist, was born in Penaflor, Santiago on September 16, 1984. His beginnings in music begin through his studies as an autodidact. In 2006 he received the Projazz Professional Institute, the Talent Scholarship. This recognition gives him the opportunity to study saxophone as a professional and, in this way, meet great personalities of the musical world. His academic training was taught by important saxophonists, such as: Alejandro (Chupete) Vasquez, Carmelo Bustos, Andres Perez and Luis Cheul (Professor of Harmony and Arrangements).
From that moment, Acevedo, had the opportunity to play with great musicians of national and international stature; Perform participations in orchestras, festivals and renowned programs of Chilean television. Among the personalities with whom he has shared the stage are Ron Kenoly, Veronica Villaroel, Luis Jara, Andrea Tessa, Anita Tijoux, Amaia Montero, Marisela “La Dama de Hierro”, among others. On the other hand, he has been a session musician for commercials and has participated in jazz albums nominated for “Premios Pulsar”. He was part of the group “Big Bang Mapocho Orchestra”, which already has his first Jazz album called “Cicatriz”; in the participated as second saxophonist, composer and arranger.
