I usually connect well with the 86UL on Alto and Tenor although I would like to try the rolled tone holes on tenor (66R UL – not the influence). I liked the 76 Soprano when I tried it and the 300UL Bari which I played on Broadway in NYC.

Why P. Mauriat:
In a world where saxophone players seek the sound of the vintage saxophones (particularly that of the Mark VI), P. Mauriat is the
only instrument brand today that builds saxophones with exactly that sound quality in mind, gracefully combining it with modern instrument technology to reach the ultimate high performance instrument.

P. Mauriat builds saxophones with excellent intonation and depth in tone, enabling musicians to freely and confidently play any musical style of their choice.

P. Mauriat makes the musician’s satisfaction, needs and interests its highest priority. The company is in constant communication and partnership with its musicians, carefully listening to their feedback and criticism and relentlessly making improvements, changes and development to better suit their needs. This teamwork process leads to final products that meet the highest expectations of musicians, making every time they play their horn a satisfying and pleasing experience.

As a saxophonist of over 30 years, I truly feel that the instrument is an extension of the musician’s own body. When I play a P. Mauriat saxophone I feel that there are no barriers between the horn and myself. The connection between us becomes natural and effortless.

Every time I play my horn, my ultimate goal is to be in the moment. In the art. In the expression, In the creation. In the music. My P. Mauriat saxophone enables to do just that. To be who I am. To play what I am.
