Andrea Abbadia

Andrea Abbadia was born in Brescia on 17/12/1985. Graduated with honors at the Conservatory of Music in Perugia, he undertook the study of the clarinet at the age of 7 at the Academy of Music in CALVI RISORTA (CE); in his studies he immediately showed great talent and despite his young age he was included in the Città di Calvi Risorta band. From 2010 he began studying the saxophone with Maestro Emilio Silva Bedmar, followed by the study of jazz music and improvisation;

In 2013 he attended the Jazz course at the “San. Pietro a Majella” Conservatory in NAPLES, studying with the Saxophone with Maestro Marco ZURZOLO and Maestro Giulio MARTINO, Improvisation with Maestro Pietro CONDORELLI and Harmony with Maestro Marco SANNINI;

In 2014 he moved to the Perugia Conservatory under the guidance of Maestro Mario RAJA, Massimo MORGANTI, Alessandro BRAVO, Angelo LAZZERI;

Since 2017 he has been a teacher at Viterbo musica, teaching saxophone, improvisation and functional harmony.

In 2021 his debut album “Maschere” with Lello Petrarca on piano, Luca Varavallo on double bass and Alex Perrone on drums was released for Wow Records, consisting of original compositions by the saxophonist.

Following the release of the album, an Italian tour begins and with stops in the European capital, enjoying great success.

In 2021 he received the “Talento caleno nel Mondo” award.
