Eric Tarlin

Saxophonist and producer Eric Tarlin began his musical journey at the age of 9 in Framingham, Massachusetts. Studying with Ray Taranto, he excelled quickly, winning the New England Saxophone Symposium competition and performing at the Newport Jazz Festival and Symphony Hall with the Massachusetts All-State Jazz Band.

An inaugural member of the Harvard-Berklee Dual Degree program, Eric continued his study under expert guidance: Esperanza Spaulding, Yosvany Terry, Lance Van Lenten, Dino Govoni, Don Braden, and Sarpay Özçağatay.

Eric began touring on the weekends as a college student, traveling the country with his pop/funk band Couch. After he graduated college, the band embarked on a 40-city national tour and a performed at Boston Calling, Peach Fest, Summer Camp and other festivals. In 2024, Couch announced 37-show stint opening for Cory Wong across the US and Europe.

In addition to playing the saxophone, Eric is an accomplished arranger and music director, garnering numerous accolades for his vocal arrangements while singing with the Harvard Opportunes and the Hyannis Sound.

Eric also plays piano, guitar, and bass. His songwriting and production work has racked up over 25 million streams on Spotify.
