Anna Brooks

Anna Brooks is a dynamic and versatile saxophonist, known for her high-energy, soulful sound and a career that spans major touring stages, studio sessions, and high-profile recording and broadcast projects. A long-standing member of Jools Holland’s Rhythm & Blues Orchestra and former member of Brooklyn Funk Essentials, she also tours internationally with the orchestral-EDM show SYNTHONY performing worldwide arena tours.

Her performance career includes sharing the stage with Rod Stewart, Joss Stone, Marc Almond, KT Tunstall, Lulu, Eddi Reader, and many others, alongside televised appearances on major BBC productions including Jools’ Annual Hootenanny. She has also toured nationally with DJ and presenter Sara Cox.

As a recording artist and session musician, Anna has contributed to albums by Rod Stewart, Jools Holland, Incognito, Brooklyn Funk Essentials, and her own jazz project The Anna Brooks Quintet.

A respected arranger, Anna has written for Raye, Jade Thirlwall, Jessy J, Joss Stone, CMAT, Self Esteem, Melanie C, Vic Reeves, and numerous other artists. Her music preparation work has appeared in BBC series including Doctor Who and Torchwood, and in films such as Angus, Thongs & Perfect Snogging and Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood.

Anna graduated with First-Class Honours from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire where she now tutors in saxophone and improvisation. She also runs an active private teaching practice, both online and in person, and delivers workshops and masterclasses across the UK.
