“The P. Mauriat 50sx L'alouette sopranino saxophone is easily the best sopranino that I have ever played! I tested the prototype in Bangkok, Thailand at the 2009 World Saxophone Congress and was utterly astounded. While playing a full chromatic scale, I ascended into the altissimo register sheerly by accident and found myself effortlessly playing an altissimo Bb!! I had just performed on my (then current sopranino) Selmer Serie II, and immediately wished I had been able to play the PM50sx L'alouette instead. The L'alouette played so naturally and felt so good in my hands, I am sure that I could have substituted it for my Selmer without any problem.”
