Biography

Nashville based freelancer Kelsey Mire is a woodwind player specializing in low reeds. Although her primary instrument is bassoon, Kelsey is experienced with nearly all woodwinds: she has played clarinet for 16 years, saxophone for 11 years, and flute for 9 years.  Mire has played 2nd bassoon with the Chattanooga Symphony, plays for professional recording sessions and musicals in Nashville, and plays baritone saxophone/bass clarinet with the Tyler Mire Big Band.  She maintains an active teaching schedule as a private woodwind instructor at Hume Fogg Magnet High School in Nashville.
