Itzam Pacheco was born in Mexico City on April 14th, 1984. His parents were pianists; musically educated since childhood. His musical studies began at the age of 15 years old at the Pacelli Institute in Puebla State (Mexico) under the direction of Bruno Fernandez Abreu. He continued his training at the National School of Music (ENM, UNAM) during 2000-2004 where he served as a member of various academic projects such as the Symphonic Band of the ENM-UNAM and Symphonic Band of the ESM-INBA under the direction of Ismael Campos, Heavy Brass Jazz Band directed by Antonio Cervin, and he creates the saxophone quartet "Adhara", just to name a few.
